talent by winsedswiss is searching for our client, a restaurant in Brasov for a creative and motivated Sous Chef to join our talented kitchen team.
You will act as the second in command in the kitchen, following and enforcing our Executive Chef’s requirements and guidelines. You are a creative professional who is willing to participate in creating delicious seasonal menus and meal designs then send us your CV.
Position Responsibilities:
- Assist with the preparation and planning of meal designs;
- Monitor and record inventory, and if necessary, order new supplies;
- Provide support to junior kitchen employees with various tasks including line cooking, food preparation, and dish plating;
- Recruit and train new kitchen employees to meet restaurant and kitchen standards;
- Adhere to and implement sanitation regulations and safety regulations;
- Ensure that kitchen activities operate in a timely manner ;
- Participates or initiates briefings / department meetings;
- Manage the kitchen team in the Executive Chef's absence, including Stewarding;
- Is capable and willing to grow withing the company;
What you bring:
- Bachelor’s degree in hotel management or culinary arts;
- Hotel experience preferred;
- Proven track of success in achieving goals;
- Experience in a similar role for minimum two to five years;
- Strong knowledge of cooking methods, kitchen equipment, and best practices;
- Good understanding of MS Office and restaurant software programs (MC);
- Teamwork-oriented with outstanding leadership abilities;
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
- Food Hygiene Certificate
